Buying any musical instrument can be a daunting task. Flageolets are perhaps the the most tricky because their scarcity causes wildly fluctuating prices. There is good news, however: the general ignorance of these fine instruments causes many to be sold far below their market value, so it is possible to get a bargain.
The article entitled ‘Buying an Antique Flageolet’ contains more detailed information on purchasing an antique instrument, including suggested suppliers and approximate prices.
‘Buying a New Flageolet’ offers suggestions as to how to acquire a new instrument. I have also provided reivews of flageolets made for me.

This site uses a large number of somewhat unusual Unicode characters to show various symbols, such as musical ones (e.g. ♯ and ♭), fingering chart images (e.g. ○ and ◎) and simple decorative arrows (e.g. ⇒ and ⇑). If these look like small white boxes rather than meaningful signs, then please look at the Technical Information for assistance.
